2005 Milestones

Child Care Info Peel (CCIP) and Coordinated Info Peel (CIP)

  • Information & Referral (I & R) Coordinator is 1 st Certified Resource Specialist (AIRS CA) in Peel
  • All fulltime I & R staff are Certified Information & Referral Specialists
  • 27,774 C/CIP contacts (not including website) in last year – 25% higher than previous year
  • Contacts are encouraged to access www.cdrcp.com and sessions in C/CIP website areas have increased by 59%
  • Email newsgroup increased 73%
  • Quality Assurance Monitoring exceeds 9.5 / 10
  • Home Child Care Network – 300 Informal Providers

Resource Connection

  • 600 active memberships including 110 parents, 15 students and over 30 organizations
  • Members from 15 different townships
  • 2500 items loaned out with 1500 visits have been made to the library by members
  • Over 50 Workshops have been offered to more then 800 participants
  • Provincial Conference for OAID with over 150 participants
  • 3 full-day workshops for Central West Region - Infant and Preschool Development Programs
  • 1st "CDRCP Open House & Fun Day" provided information and children's activities to more then 80 families

Ontario Early Year’s Centre – Brampton West/Mississauga

  • 22,123 family visits & 907 workshop participants
  • 24 programs offered on a weekly basis in 4 sites & over 175 Hours of Community Outreach
  • Continuously looking for new ways to reach families in the largest growing riding in Peel
  • Work group of community agencies researched and provided resources and training to support inclusive

Setting the Stage for Successful Behaviour

  • Curriculum continues to be rolled out around the province and is used by some colleges

Early Years Consultation and Training

  • Community consultations to enhance program delivery
  • Over 60 workshops have been developed for community delivery

PEP-Start

  • 298 children were seen and 74% were referred on for services
  • 62% of the children seen at the clinic were 3 years and under, supporting our goal of performing an early identification function and getting children to services at a younger age.
  • 300% increase in referrals to a Developmental Pediatrician due to multiple developmental concerns
  • 40% increase in referrals from Physicians
