COAST(Crisis Outreach and Support Team). COAST Peel is a partnership between the Canadian Mental Health Association, the Peel Regional Police and Saint Elizabeth Health Care. MOBILE OUTREACH THE COAST PEEL mobile team is available Monday – Saturday 11:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m., and Sunday 3:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. The team consists of a mental health professional and a specially trained plain clothed police officer. They will respond to a call involving mental health crisis that is not deemed to be an emergency call. They will respond in an unmarked police cruiser and will conduct a mental health assessment onsite. A plan will be implemented which best suits the needs of the individual. The individual will be connected with community programs as required. This support extends to both the client and their families.
