What is Raising the Bar in Peel (RTBP)?
- A program designed to help families ensure their children receive high-quality early learning and child care services
- A sign that the child care program is committed to maintaining and exceeding provincial regulatory standards and the Region of Peel’s quality standards
- An accreditation system that is measured over a three-year process and ongoing, using Bronze, Silver and Gold bars to indicate the level of quality

Quality Assurance
- Quality is monitored through indoor and outdoor environmental assessment tools
- Parent feedback is collected each year
- RTBP operates in full compliance with provincial, regional, and municipal regulations
- Our assessment includes indoor and outdoor health and safety inspections

Best Practices
- RTBP offers information for parents and promotes opportunities for community involvement
- There are detailed policies, procedures and management practices to guide day-to-day operations
- Resources and information about child development are provided to parents
Professional Development
- RTBP supports staff training through mentorship and training opportunities
- First Aid and CPR qualifications are kept current
- Cooks complete Food Handler’s Certificate training
